I am envisioning a pocket door like this between the galley kitchen and the bathroom at the end of my tiny house. painting it a bright color is a great idea, my current fave is a bright kelly green or maybe dark turquoise. this would work well since i'm envisioning white cabinets and white beadboard on walls.

this barn door (which I love but isn't as practical as a pocket door for my tiny home) is about the kelly green color I might like for my pocket door. I might like it a tiny bit brighter but it's close.
but dark turquoise is still a contender--green just seems fresher and more up to date/stylish.

the dark turquoise I'm thinking of is used on the chairs in the background of this pic. definitely high gloss. hmmm, I wonder if I could paint high gloss myself--I've heard it's prone to drips. hope I could.
