I am so relieved to report that the local Codes Enforcement Officer confirmed that since this will be towable/mobile there will be no guidelines for building this tiny house other than requiring a wastewater management plan. that is such a relief! HOWEVER, the bad news is they consider all used water to be wastewater, even if it's just greywater from shower. He said wastewater of any type will have to go into a honey wagon and be disposed of at a proper site for a fee. I'm really not sure how to handle this b/c I can easily blow through 50 gallons of water in one shower. I don't want to deal with wastewater disposal every few days or really even every week! maybe once a month if absolutely necessary. So this is something I'm going to need to research more. and holding tanks are expensive and still so small! there is a town ordinance against disposing water on site so if I can design/install a greywater treatment system and reuse my own water, that sounds like my best bet at this point. Any suggestions (other than take shorter showers) will be appreciated! I can't tie into the septic system on the land, unfortunately--another town rule.
